Zimbabwe Birds Eye

The peri – peri chilli (Swahili for pepper pepper). These peppers are not to be confused with the Asian (annuum) varieties. They are smaller pods with a snout calyx that doesn’t wrap. More intense flavour and heat that have earned them the nickname ‘devils chilli’ in native Southern Africa.
